An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR professional to join a supportive and growing organisation as their stand-alone HR Manager, taking full ownership of the people function during a period of growth and positive change. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both strategic input and hands on delivery, with the autonomy to shape HR practices and influence culture from the ground up.
The Role
The HR Manager will oversee the full employee lifecycle and act as the organisation's primary HR expert. They will provide trusted advice to managers, lead employee relations matters, and partner with the leadership team to support engagement, wellbeing and organisational development initiatives. This position offers significant variety, visibility, and the opportunity to embed strong people foundations across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead HR operations end-to-end, including recruitment, onboarding, performance, development and exit processes
* Provide clear, pragmatic HR guidance to managers on a range of people matters
* Manage ER cases, ensuring fair, consistent and compliant outcomes
* Maintain and update HR policies, documentation and processes
* Support initiatives that strengthen culture, engagement, wellbeing and retention
* Oversee HR systems, reporting, data accuracy and general administration
* Partner with leaders on people projects and organisational development activity
* Ensure full compliance with employment law and HR best practice
What They're Looking For
* Strong generalist HR experience, ideally within a stand alone role or as a senior HR Advisor/People Partner
* Confidence handling complex ER matters and coaching managers
* Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills
* Someone proactive, adaptable and able to prioritise effectively in a fast moving environment
* CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience) as a minimum
