HR Director

Salary: £90,000 - £120,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus

Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 from home)

Hours: 37.5 per week

Annual Leave: 25 days + bank holidays

Benefits: 4x death in service, BUPA

Reports To: CEO

A well‑established organisation is seeking a commercially astute HR Director to lead and elevate a growing People function. You will manage a team of HR professionals while also driving the development of an expanding L&D function, with a significant focus on strengthening and maturing the Talent Acquisition capability across the organisation.

This is a high-impact leadership role focused on shaping the people strategy, driving cultural development, and improving operational and strategic HR delivery.

Working closely with an experienced CEO, you will contribute at board level and provide strategic HR insight to support business-wide decision-making and long‑term workforce planning.

Key Responsibilities - circa 1,000 employees

* Lead all employee relations activity, including investigations, grievances, disciplinaries, and appeals

* Oversee and optimise the full recruitment lifecycle, ensuring an efficient, high‑quality process

* Strengthen the Talent Acquisition function with a proactive, data‑driven approach to attraction, employer brand, and workforce planning

* Ensure a seamless and engaging onboarding experience for all new starters

* Embed succession planning frameworks to support capability building and internal development

* Create meaningful HR analytics for board reporting (attrition, retention, DE&I, case load, sickness, recruitment spend, ROI)

* Lead and support TUPE activity linked to organisational growth

* Develop and implement a company‑wide L&D strategy including leadership development and ED&I

* Drive employee engagement initiatives and develop a positive culture

The Successful Candidate Must Have:

* CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent) and preferable experience within a regulated environment

* High emotional intelligence and excellent stakeholder management skills

* Strong ability to design, interpret, and present HR analytics

* Experience presenting at board and senior leadership level

* A proactive, self‑starting approach with evidence of delivering HR initiatives at scale

* A passion for cultural improvement and organisational development
