Finance Administrator (Billing)
£24,000 - £28,000
Location: Liverpool
Working Pattern: Office-Based Initially, Moving to Hybrid
37.5 Hours, Monday to Friday
Adaptable Recruitment is proud to be working exclusively with an expanding organisation on the outskirts of Liverpool to recruit a Finance Administrator within their Billing team.
This role is best suited for a highly organised administrative professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings exceptional attention to detail, outstanding data entry, and the ability to manage a high-volume workload efficiently.
You will play a vital role in supporting the finance and billing function by ensuring accurate, timely invoicing and receipting, while adhering to strict administrative procedures and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
- Process large volumes of invoices accurately and efficiently in line with strict deadlines
- Administer the end-to-end accounts receivable process, including billing and allocation of payments
- Maintain detailed and accurate customer account records and ensure data integrity across all systems
- Monitor outstanding payments and proactively follow up via email, phone and letter
- Assess creditworthiness of customers and apply credit limits in accordance with internal policies
- Prepare and process credit notes and adjustments following the required internal approvals
- Reconcile customer accounts and manage remittance discrepancies and payment allocations
- Provide administrative support to the finance team during month-end close, including generating reports and updating trackers
- Ensure all documentation and record-keeping is compliant with internal controls and audit standards
- Liaise professionally with internal departments and external clients to resolve queries efficiently
Key Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in a fast paced administrative role
- Strong data entry skills with a focus on speed and accuracy in high-volume environments
- Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and finance or ERP systems desirable
- Able to work independently, prioritise tasks effectively, and meet tight deadlines
